Position:
We seek a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Officer/ Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be vital in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting broader finance functions. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and innovative iGaming company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process invoices, payments, and receipts with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records for VAT reporting; prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in managing and tracking company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity and forecasting future cash needs.
- Monitor company expenses and flag irregularities.
- Maintain documentation and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and automation tools where applicable.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Manager/CEO.
Qualifications:
- 3/5 years of accounting experience.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Xero is a plus).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the iGaming, fintech, or tech sector is considered an asset.
